We handle day-to-day tasks of all kinds, big and small, to make life easier and more fulfilling for you and your loved ones. For example, we will transport clients to medical appointments or to family/social engagements, schedule and manage repairs and services, assist with mail/bills/forms, organize things, and provide companionship. We will take care of doing those things that you don’t have time for, or that stress and overwhelm you or a loved one.

Who are your employees?
Positive Living Solutions is owned and operated by Úna Barrett, a specialist in aging and aging-related services. Our personal assistants are experienced professionals who care for your loved ones as they would their own.

We have a thorough understanding of the aging process and the needs that arise as loved ones age. We will guide you through that process and any transition planning that it requires.
Who typically hires Positive Living Solutions?
When clients do not engage us themselves, we are generally contacted by an adult child, or by a trustee, guardian or care facility.
Is it okay if my parent is in a residential community?
Yes, many of our clients are residents at some form of long term care facility. In those cases, we evaluate the care, attention and oversight provided by their community.
Do you provide transportation services?
Yes, we will transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, family or social engagements, or recreational events.
Do you work with hospitals?
Yes, we are often engaged by hospitals to accompany patients or clients to and from their residence. We will communicate with doctors and nurses and ensure that proper discharge instructions are followed.
Do you handle transition services?
Yes, we specialize in assisting clients as they evaluate options, downsize their home, or move from their home to a care facility.
Do you provide reports after each visit?
We send reports to families weekly and after each medical appointment where we take notes. We’ll serve as your eyes and ears on the ground, observing your loved one’s emotional well being and behavior to the same extent that you would.
